Before your Christmas celebrations with the family you got to get into the spirit with a Pre-funk with the homies! The Crocodile (long time Seattle Concert venue, which is DOPE btw) is opening their doors for the first club event with Resident Media Wednesday December 23rd for our new weekly event “Friday Night Lights”. I know I know, its not a Friday. Since Christmas falls on a Friday, we decided to do a PRE-Funk to the holiday festivities. Our regular Friday nights start January 1st New Years Day!

Wear your Christmas sweater or email RME206@gmail.com with first and last names by 8pm Wednesday night and get in free before 11pm! $10 regular cover all night. If you have been to Resident Media event, then you know the music will be DOPE especially with Deejay Sean Cee and Spinja and the crowd will be bangin!

So I don’t really feel a need to post it.

I didn’t even bother to watch the VMA’s last night because I could honestly care less about it or MTV (do they even show music videos anymore?) but I did youtube the mishap. I had already read what happened between West and Swift prior to it’s west coast (the best coast) showing thanks to the twitternet and in all honesty I think it was just a clever publicity stunt pulled by MTV but whatever. The following quote made me laugh so hard I literally almost fell out of my chair and hit my head on my desk.

“I was standing on the stage and I was really excited because I had just won the award,” Swift said after Sunday’s show at Radio City Music Hall. “And then I was really excited because Kanye West was on the stage. And then I wasn’t so excited anymore after that.”

I’m going to give myself the late pass for this one. Wired writer Evan Ratliff has gone ‘where’s waldo’. In a challenge brainstormed by the editor of Wired and himself, Evan will be in hiding for 30 days somewhere in the US. Rules are he must stay withing the US, be in surroundings that he would normally inhabit, and stay connected to all forms of social networking that he’s usually accustomed to including twitter.  Information about him including credit card purchases, atm withdrawls, phone logs, and emails can all be found here.

If you happen to find him you must take a picture and give him the password “fluke“, at that point you will be given another password to forward to the folks at Wired along with the photo.

Tonight the Perseid meteor shower will be at optimum viewing to us Earthlings. Between 9pm-11pm will be the best time to see them although they wont be as frequent. But if you’re up, around 1am is when the most of them will be visable and under “optimal conditions” up to 80 can be seen an hour. So take a break from the boob tube and grab a blunt, a beezy, and blanket. Holla.

This Friday will be an important day in every childhood sci fi fantasy. Spaceport America will begin construction in New Mexico as the first commercial spaceport in the US. More than likely we’ll all be dead before this service is affordable enough for the most of us, but I still find it cool that we are (and when I say we, I mean those of us who aren’t super gazillion bazillionaires) getting closer and closer to the stars.

For any of you that are in the area I strongly suggest that you attend the groundbreaking ceremony tomorrow, it’s a good 30-40 miles from Roswell.
