DillaSalute.com is a passion project/tribute for the late and great J Dilla. The site and download was made available at midnight yesterday coinciding with the anniverery of Dilla’s passing. The zip file contains a 73 min live mix by Sosa and 5 bonus tracks from Roger.

For those of you with no self control but would like to be productive, Stay Focusd is the tool for you.
Windows/Mac/Linux (Chrome): It’s okay to fit a little social networking and not-quite-job-related news reading into your day, but mental limits are hard to stick to. StayFocusd sets timers on the sites you know are addictive, then blocks them when time’s up.
Rather than set individual time limits for each site, StayFocusd asks for a total amount of time you want to let yourself spend on all your non-productive sites. Kind of a clever restriction to have, because you just know you’d be heading right over to Twitter once your Facebook timer ran out, and vice-versa. StayFocusd does get specific on site URLs, though. You can timer-block the entirety of Reddit, for example, but leave the link submission section open for use throughout the day.

‘Tis a fruitful year for independent and plain-good recording artists. Along with the like minds of The Foreign Exchange, Lalah Hathaway, Bilal, and Robert Glasper, Eric Roberson has been nominated for a Grammy for the song “A Tale of Two” featuring Ben O’Neill and Michelle Thompson from his latest effort, Music Fan First. Abandoning tact and formality for a brief moment, I wanna say that shit is crazy!!!
To commemorate the nomination, Eric has been holding quite an accessible remix competition since December 10, and has pushed the promotions over YouTube and Twitter, allowing all participants to email their versions of the grammy-nominated song until 11:59PM tonight. All entries will be judged by Eric himself, along with producers/Grammy-familiars Brett Baker, Bryan M. Cox, and Rich Harrison.

not ones to let output outdo quality, the group officially released this collaboration with oc notes just a few days prior. running just under two minutes, there’s a lot going on in “icing”, maybe more than a lot of four minute shits you can think of. beautiful voices, for instance.
Haven’t seen a solid mixtape in awhile from him. No Ceilings is supposed to have some hype behind it, but what Lil Wayne album doesn’t? From the track listing the beats on here look promising for some good punchlines.
